Box of 15 rounds produced by the Germans during the Third Reich.  They are 7.92mm x 57mm, armor piercing, tracer made in 1937.  This ammo is the type that was used by both ground forces and the Luftwaffe.

The label gives information about all the components of the rounds.  Powder, casing, bullet components, tracer material and primer.  Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P151) is the manufacturer who assembled all the components into a complete cartridge.

The boxes and cartridges are in beautiful condition.  $20 per box.

 

 

Patr. stands for patronen which means cartridges.
 
S.m.K. means armor piercing.    

L'spur (Leuchtspur) means tracer.

gelb means the tracer color is yellow.


The second line shows that the cartridge components were assembled by Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P.151).  It was their 2nd delivery lot of 1938.

Nz. Gew. Bl. P. means nitro cellulose rifle flaked powder.  (2, 2, 0.45) means the powder particles are 2mm by 2mm by .45 mm.  The powder was made by Rttw, delivery lot 54 of 1937.

Patrh. means cartridge case.  It was made by Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P151), delivery lot 6 of 1938.  The S* means the composition of the brass was 72% copper.

Gesch. means bullet, made by  Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P151), delivery lot 1 of 1938.

The maker of the armor piercing core (Geschossteile) is also Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P151).  Lot and date are not given.

Satz means the yellow tracer composition and was made by Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (R.W.S).  Lot and date not given.

Zdh. means primer (Zundhutchen).  30 means the primer cup is made from copper-plated brass.  It was also made by Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (R.W.S),  Delivery lot 37 of 1937. 

 

The black tip of the bullet indicates a tracer round.

 

P151 means the cartridge case was made by Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg.

38 means it was made in 1938.

The S* means the brass used for the cartridge case is 72 % copper.

"6" means delivery lot 6 from Rheinisch-Westfälische Sprengstoff A.G., Werk Stadeln bei Nürnberg (P151) in 1938.

The red primer sealant means an armor piercing round.

 

Box maker is not clear but has a "C" and an "A", made in 1937.
