Dear Folks,

Just a couple of lines to let you know I’m ok.  Hope you are all well.  got your letter the other day.  sure was glad to hear from you.  anything from home is most welcom.  Tell John I sure would like to be there to go fishing with him.  Tell everyone to write to me.  I don’t think I’ve been getting all my mail.  Guess it gets lost.  Better sign 30 for now  ans soon.

Love Audie

NOTE:  The "sign 30 for now" was the radio sign off of a popular pre war news commentator, Earl Garner.
