K98k byf41 made by Mauser Oberndorf in 1941. These rifles still had most everything
serial numbered and waffenamt stamped. In late 1941 Mauser Oberndorf's waffenamt
number changed from 655 to 135. This occurred on the K98ks and the P.08s. This
example is a transitional in that the metal parts are 655 stamped but the stock has final
inspection stamps of 135.
