This Papa Nambu was made about 1919-1920.  These are very difficult to find

without major finish loss and heavy pitting due to the fact that there were used by

the Japanese Imperial Navy.  This example came in a T-14 holster with a spare

Papa magazine and a nickel T-14 cleaning rod.  The kanji on the holster seems to

indicate that the holster was a replacement for the original Papa holster and was used

by the Navy.

 

Unfortunately someone felt compelled to try to remove the paint markings on the grips

and on the holster.  Too bad but I guess some GI had too much time on his hands.
