This is a very interesting P.38.  It is a late war Mod P.38.  It is in excellent condition.

It came in a 1942 E/B Otto Sindel police P.08 holster.  It has 2 magazines which

are matching serial numbered on the right side and stamped "1" and "2" like the police

did it.  The spare mag was stuffed into the P.08 spare mag pouch and has distorted the

pouch.  I believe the mag has been in the pouch for a very long time.

I have never observed a pistol like this one.  Mauser had the police P.38 contract so,

using that info, it doesn't make sense that a Walther would be used by the police.

On the other hand, strange things happened late war and I could accept that, with

the German infrastructure being in a shambles, a police unit might have gotten hold

of a commercial P.38 for their use.  You can be the judge on originality.
