Portuguese Contract Model 1906

Made by DWM for a military contract with the Royal Portuguese Army referred to as a "M2".  Approximately 5,000 were made between 1908 and 1910.  It has correct but mismatched grips because the original matching numbered grips were cracked so a pair of grips were taken from another Portuguese and placed on this gun.  Other than the grips, it is all matching.  It has a correct unnumbered magazine and a correct "M2" holster with no cleaning rod or spare mag.  Condition is either side of 95% with some light pitting on the barrel and the grip straps.  Rare gun.  See "Lugers At Random", pages 134-135.  Book price is $3500.  Will sell for $2750 + shipping.  All FFL rules apply.  SOLD
