This is a Smith & Wesson Model 41 conversion pistol that was done by Robert Loveless of Riverside California.  He is an expert knife maker and made this conversion back in the 1970s.  I was told that 30 of these were made.  At the bottom of this page is a comparison picture showing an original Model 41 and this example.
