Japanese T-38 carbine, 6.5mm made by the Nagoya Arsenal, series 4, serial number 97819.

 This example is all matching, has the full mum with typical stock dinging.  Metal finish is

somewhat thin/patina but good overall with a stock chip near the butt plate as shown in the picture. 

The butt plate was apparently pitted so it has been painted with black paint which can be easily

removed.  These rarely come up for sale that are in original condition.  Only the black paint on the

butt plate keeps this one from being totally original.  $750 + shipping.
