WWII German range finder for air or ground use. Made by Carl Zeiss, Jena Germany.
Spacing between objective lenses is 49" center to center. Range scale measures distance
from 600 to 15,000 meters. This range finder is the maximum size man supported unit
operated from a tripod body harness arrangement. Designed to be used with 37mm and
above antiaircraft guns. Range finder has liquid filled inclinometer on one end of housing.
The other end has large anti-shock pad. Painted in early war wavy pattern camouflage colors
of field grey, tan and rust brown. Range finder comes in a correspondingly camouflaged
large steel box designed to be bolted to the floor of a transport vehicle. Excellent.
This unit is heavy so I would suggest meeting at a show, maybe the SOS in February or
Tulsa in November or April. $2750
