Very rare 20 round box of 8mm kurz (short) cartridges.  This was made for use in the MP43 and, later, MP44 machine pistols.  Most of this ammo has been shot up by the machine gunner owners and is hard to find.  The Germans marked just about everything.  The label tells who assembled the cartridge components (aux = Polte-Werke), when it was made (1944) and who made all the separate components and when including lot numbers in most cases.  In Ladestreifen means "in stripper clips".  On standard 8mm ammo this is sometimes abbreviated iL.  This box was relabeled which you see often.
