A Swedish contract HP. These guns have many of the early features like a rectangular firing pin. They
were beautifully finished because this was Walther's first chance to sell the newly designed P.38 on
the commercial market. This is called a first variation because it has a "H" prefix. The slide is numbered
inside at the rear like the early HP's were. It is very difficult to get pictures of these guns with
showing reflections because of the high reflectivity of the slide. It's my understanding that most of
these Swede's were imported in the early 1960's and were shipped without magazines in place. When they
arrrived at the importer magazines were inserted without concern for serial numbers. As a result, most
of these guns have mismatched mags.
