A zero series ac45.  Very late war, these guns were made up of left over and/or rejected commercial P.38 parts and then issued to the military.   They used a commercial serial number but prefixed it with a zero to differentiate them from commercial guns.  

The slides typically have the initial military slide inspection stamp of E/359 and also have a military firing proof stamp.  The final inspection was not applied since they were not strict military configuration guns.  Approximately 1,900 guns of this variation were made based on the known serial number range.
