This P.38 variation is described by Buxton as an ac frame late date.  This gun has no serial numbers.  It appears to have been built out of parts and, at least partially, they were armorers replacement parts.  The hammer is in the white.

The common thing about this variation is that they all had ac coded frames.  I believe most of the frames have a reddish plum color.  The rest of the parts can be Walther, Mauser or Spreewerk.  Two of these guns that I have examined had one hand made part.

The locking block does not have a typical firing proof but has a 6 pointed star which I am still researching.  It is not a French star because they were 5 pointed.  Also on the right side of the barrel block or rail are two RW stamps.  These stamps are apparently an inspection stamp that is seldom seen on P.38s.
