This is a first edition of Buxton's P.38, Volume I.  This is the most desirable book of the series because it covers the Walther development and production of the P.38.  This book has been reprinted but the reprint has some errors plus, when a book is reprinted, the pictures are not as sharp. This book is in near mint condition with only a small amount of wear on the gold embossing at the muzzle of the P.38 on the cover.  The variation in color of the P.38 on the cover is a result of glare from the picture.  The color is very uniform.    $150
