This is a very interesting G.33/40.  The long-time collector that I purchased this one from had two and they were identical.

It is an early 1941 with the 945 maker's code.  Not many were made in 1941 until they changed the code to dot.  It has a beautiful walnut stock.

The rifle must have been made up as a sample or display piece.  The final inspection waffenamts were never applied to the receiver or the stock.  Only initial inspection stamps appear.  Also, the butt plate, kick plate and stock takedown disc that are normally in the white have been blued.

The waffenamt on the bolt head has been etched.  How they did one so small is amazing.
