P.38, second variation byf43 serial number 1442n.  All matching.   Correct reddish brown grips.  There is a chip out of the left grip just under the frame tang.  Mag is a Walther with no "v" after the P.38 stamped on the side.  So, the mag is correct for a later ac42 or early ac43.  Not import maked.  Scattered light pitting as can be seen in the pictures.  Hammer drop is functional.   I am listing this for a friend.  Reasonable offers considered.  SOLD
