This Papa Nambu was made about 1919-1920. These are very difficult to find
without major finish loss and heavy pitting due to the fact that there were used by
the Japanese Imperial Navy. This example came in a T-14 holster with a spare
Papa magazine and a nickel T-14 cleaning rod. The kanji on the holster seems to
indicate that the holster was a replacement for the original Papa holster and was used
by the Navy.
Unfortunately someone felt compelled to try to remove the paint markings on the grips
and on the holster. Too bad but I guess some GI had too much time on his hands.
