A Heinrich Kreighoff P.08 made in 1937. Kreighoff was a firm selected by Hermann Goering to make Lugers for the Luftwaffe. He selected them because he was an avid hunter and Kreighoff made premier shotguns which he used.
Kreighoff didn't make many Lugers especially late war. They are highly prized by Luger collectors. This example has 2 matching numbered mags, a Kreighoff marked holster, Kreighoff marked take down tool and laminated capture paper.
This pistol has been professionally restored and was done for a notorious faker in Florida. The mags have also come into question as has the holster, loading tool and capture paper. This restoration is first class and fooled a long time collector/dealer when he purchased it at a show. The individual who restored the pistol told me he thought one of the mags was good but the other was doctored. That's hard to believe when you look at the pictures. I would say that if one mag is wrong, they are both wrong.
I have this on my web site as an example of the quality of restoration work that can be done.
