This P.38 mag is an early one as indicated by the fine weld finishing.  It is only stamped "E/359"

on the spine in the lower left position which, again would indicate an early Walther mag.  The

left side of the mag has no "P.38" stamp which they started stamping on the mags in the "ac40 added"

production.  The mags that typically had no "P.38" stamp on the left side were mags that had the

serial number of the pistol stamped on the left side.   The internal parts are stamped E/359.
