P.38 byf43 suffix letters i and l (L)
Below are examples of the i suffix
The 3rd from the end is questionable. It could be an "L" or an "i" with the dot missing.
The stem of the letter does appear to be about the same length as other i suffix letters.
Below are examples of the l (L) suffix
The second from the left and the last are questionable. The stems appear to be shorter than known
examples of the l (L). They may be examples (as possibly above) of a die with the dot broken off.
Another possiblity, which is scary, is the l (L) die may have been broken at some point so they
removed the dot from an i die and used it as an l (L).
To summarize, the main difference I can see with what appears to be the i is that the stem is shorter
than examples of the l (L).
