A periscope that went with the Richtkreis 31 (Rkt31) Aiming Circle.

The aiming circle was an artillery sighting device.  The sole purpose of the periscope

was to raise the line of sight.  It was made by Ernst Leitz GmbH, Wetzlar, Germany

(secret code beh) who was a well known optical manufacturer.  Due to the leather

texture and age cracking, I can't make out the maker of the pouch except that it was

made in 1937 by a company in Hamburg.  I think the waffenamt number on the pouch

may be 219.  The "2" and "1" are somewhat clear but I'm not sure about the "9".  SOLD
