Tokarev Type 54 pistol made in China by the Mukden Arsenal (66). This is chambered in
7.62mm x 25mm. This pistol was made in 1981 (add 53 to the first two digits of the serial
number). It was never import marked. Also, the Tokarevs that were imported were required
by the BATFE to have an added safety to meet import requirements. This pistol never received
the modification. I have heard that a few pistols were accidentally shipped by the importer
before the BATFE ruling came in. Two matching mags. A lot of collectors see the "66" on the
left side of the frame and assume it was made in 1966 during the Viet Nam era. That is incorrect.
It came with the holster, cleaning rod and lanyard. This is the only example of this pistol I have
ever had. I got the above info from the Internet so I hope it's correct.
