This is a post war svw46 French P.38 that is all phosphate and has metal grips.  For some reason, the French continued to use the svw code into 1946.  Under the left grip is a marking that is unique to the French P.38's.  It resembles a clover leaf.  The meaning is not known.

This gun's serial number is listed in Buxton Vol. II, page 125.
