This is a 1942 Mauser Banner E/L inspected police issue P.08.  This is the only direct vet purchase I have been able to make, to date.  I have a letter from the vet describing how he captured the gun which occurred just after the war in Europe was over.  The gun was captured in a P.38 holster and has 2 matching numbered magazines.
