This is a stock for a GEW98 rework that was done by the SS. For more information about these reworks
and pictures of a complete rifle click HERE. This stock was sanded to remove most of the old markings and then renumbered to match the rifle it was going to be used on. The butt plate is blued. The front barrel band, rear barrel band and butt plate are all matching to the stock. Remnants of the original serial number can be seen on the butt plate. The original number also appears in the barrel channel along with the new serial number. |
