A P.38 hard shell holster made by lyo. lyo was the German secret code for Kromolowski & Sohne who was
located in Radom, Poland. Most are not dated but occasionally a 1943 date will show up. I don't recall
ever seeing a 1944 date. These holsters are virtually all brown and were made with inferior leather.
The tanning process was poor and caused the leather to slough off similar to the way Civil War leather
does. The leather was also softer and thinner and thus didn't hold it's shape like most of the hard
shell holsters contracted for by the Reich. These are difficult to find in excellent or better condition.
