A Japanese T-14 pistol made in February, 1944. The dates on Japanese pistols made after 1926 were called
a "Showa" date which meant it was in the "Showa" dynasty. To get a Roman calendar year, add 25 to the
first number. The second number is the Roman numbered month. Some of the very early 19.2 pistols
made by Nagoya Torimatsu had
the fine knurled cocking knob like most all the 19.1 Torimatsu pistols had. This,
however, is a Nagoya Kokobunji and has the earlier style grooved or milled
knob. The dot above the serial number on the matching numbered
magazine means that it is the spare magazine.
