This is a German SG84/98 bayonet frog that is made of pressed paper.  The German's experimented with alternate materials and this is an example of one of those experiments. This example, the belt and the holster are scarce examples of the attempt to cut down on the use of leather.  The layering of the paper is much better on this example than the holster but the holster required more severe curves in the manufacturing process which caused some delaminating to occur.
