The Germans were apparently anticipating the shortage of certain war materials so, in 1941, they started experimenting with alternative equipment materials.  This belt is an example of that experimentation.  It is made of a vulcanized rubber/fiber cord material.  It is very rare.  I have only seen 3 examples in my collecting.  SOLD
